Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Systems

An under-sink RO system installed at your kitchen removes up to 99% of dissolved contaminants — including lead, PFAS, arsenic, and nitrates — giving you a dedicated tap of clean drinking water.

What It Removes

Lead, PFAS, Arsenic, and More

Reverse osmosis pushes water through a semi-permeable membrane fine enough to block dissolved solids that carbon filtration alone can't catch — removing up to 99% of total dissolved solids from your drinking water.

⚠️

Lead

Lead enters water from aging service lines and household plumbing, not the treatment plant. RO membranes remove it at the point of use.

🧪

PFAS ("Forever Chemicals")

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances resist breakdown and standard treatment. RO is one of the few residential methods proven to remove them effectively.

🌱

Arsenic & Nitrates

Common in groundwater and near agricultural runoff, both are dissolved solids that pass through carbon filters but are captured by an RO membrane.

Local Water Quality

Chicago's Lead Service Line Problem

Chicago has an estimated 400,000 lead service lines still in the ground — more than any other city in the country. Lead leaches into water from the pipe itself, so it can show up at your tap even when the city's water tests clean at the treatment plant. Replacing every line citywide is a project measured in decades, not years. An RO system installed at your kitchen sink removes lead right where you drink and cook, without waiting on infrastructure work to catch up.

How It Works

Stages of a Reverse Osmosis System

Sediment pre-filter

Removes dirt, rust, and particulate before water reaches the membrane.

Carbon pre-filter

Removes chlorine and chloramine, which would otherwise damage the RO membrane over time.

RO membrane

Forces water through a semi-permeable membrane that blocks lead, PFAS, arsenic, nitrates, and other dissolved solids.

Carbon post-filter

Polishes the water for taste immediately before it reaches your dedicated faucet.

Remineralization (optional)

Adds back beneficial minerals for taste, if you choose that stage.

What You Get

A Dedicated Tap for Clean Water

🚰

Dedicated Drinking-Water Faucet

A separate small faucet at your sink delivers RO water on demand, without touching the rest of your home's plumbing.

⚗️

Optional Remineralization

A remineralization stage adds back calcium and magnesium for improved taste, if you prefer it over straight RO water.

📦

Compact Under-Sink Install

The system and storage tank fit under a standard kitchen sink — no countertop unit or extra footprint needed.

Filter Changes and Cost

Pre-filters (sediment and carbon) typically need replacing about once a year. The RO membrane itself lasts longer under normal residential use.
